FINE DINING - DE MONDION RESTAURANT
The award winning ‘de Mondion restaurant’ enjoys spectacular panoramic views and promises to be one of Malta’s leading gastronomic treasures offering the best of typical Modern French and Mediterranean cuisine. A full buffet breakfast and ŕ la Carte dinner are served daily. During the summer months, dining is available on the terrace. Lunch is available on request for groups.
Guests of The Xara Palace will have access to the Outdoor Pool at The Xara lodge which is situated on the outskirts of Rabat, just 5 minutes by car from The Hotel. Transfers to The Xara Lodge are free of charge and will be provided by the Hotel at Clients' convenience.
The Trattoria A.D.1530, which is open for lunch and dinner where all types of mouth-watering dishes are on offer. Teas and delicious patisserie are also available.

MALTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IS 8 KM FROM HOTEL
Mdina is today often referred to as the Silent City. Perched on a hilltop, with its massive walls and peaceful shady streets, walking round this city one really gets the sense of having stepped back in time.The peace and serenity of Mdina today belies a history which is as colourful and eventful as that of the Maltese Islands. Perched on a rocky plateau with a near 360 degree view of the island, Mdina is the perfect example of a medieval fortress.
Mdina is situated centrally on the island and thus can be reached fairly easily by all local means of transport. Once reaching Rabat, the suburb, going around Mdina is best done by foot to experience the architecture of the so-called Silent City. A limousine service is bookable from the hotel for airport transfers (Merceded S Class, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E Class)PARKING:Large car parks outside the three gates of Mdina accommodate daily a great number of cars. To park in Mdina, we are to request that the local Council grants us a special Access Permit for our guests. €30.00 fee per car for any length of stay. |
