The complex is surrounded not only by the garden, but also by a beautiful imposing park installed at the same time as the restoration during the second half of the 19th century.
With an "English-style" landscaping, the park crossed by long paths, each of which marked by various types of essences - covers the whole hill up to the valley entrance where the characteristic Monumental Tower stands.
Within, we find various types of century-old trees and distinctive elements like the pools and small like where a single "imbarcadero" originally flowed, starting from the courtyard in front of the villa.
BORGO DEI CONTI RESORT is located in Montepetriolo, just 10 minutes from Perugia, overlooking the valley of the Nestore river. The residential compound, which covers 20 hectares of centuries-old wood sand olive groves, belonged to the family of the Counts Rossi Scotti who, beginning in the early 1800s, undertook its development according to the well-defined stylistic layout of the BORGO, or hamlet, with the Castle as the noble residence, while the remaining residential quarters represented a new interpretation of medieval inspiration.
The painstaking restoration embraced the philosophy of the original concept, bringing to light the remarkable aspects that were all but wiped out in decades of abandonment. Today the master residence, the reconfigured residential quarters, the baroque style chapel and the park have taken on new roles, making the RESORT a unique and exclusive point of reference on the hospitality scene.
A fiefdom with a kind and noble spirit, surrounded by the nature of Umbria, “the garden of Italy”, along the road to cities of art such as Rome, Florence and Siena, near sites of Etruscan relics (Perugia and Chiusi), and destinations of both spiritual (Assisi, Gubbio, Cascia) and cultural (Orvieto, Spoleto, Todi, Foligno) significance. Yet far away from all that is commonplace.
