The Txai is located on an ancient coconut and cacao farm, an estate of 92 hectares (227 acres) situated in the Environmental Protection Area of Itacaré Serra Grande, in the Itacaré municipality.
Opened 14 years ago and considered one of the first boutique hotels in Brazil, part of the select group of hotels Relais&Châteaux, the project borrowed the word “Txai” (“partner”) from the indigenous Kaxinawa vocabulary, combining the cozy architectural design with a low environmental impact, with the use of less than 3% of the area for buildings.
Internationally awarded and chosen for three consecutive years as the Most Excellent Beach Hotel Top and most recent “Best Water Side Hotel”, both by Condé Nast, all details of Txai were devised to ensure the maximum comfort for its guests.
It is located 48 km (29 miles) from Ilhéus, 15 km (9 miles) from
Itacaré and 350 km (217 miles) from Salvador.

CONFIRMATION POLICY
Reservations will be confirmed upon payment of 50% of the value with taxes in up to two working days after the pre-reservation. In case payment of 50% of the rates with taxes is not made in up to two working days, the pre-reservation will be automatically cancelled. Payment of 50% of the reservation confirms full acknowledgement and acceptance of the terms and conditions of the current Policy of confirmation/Reservation of this document. In the event of cancellation after payment of the reservation, there will be no refunds.
Procedures
To guarantee the booking the resort requires a deposit of 50% of the anticipated value within 48 hours after the booking has been confirmed. Otherwise the resort reserves the right to cancel the reservation. The remaining 50% are due to be paid upon check-out along other expenses during the stay at Txai.
Alterations | Cancellation
Cancellation 30 days prior to arrival, 25% of the deposit will be charged. Cancellation 15 days prior to arrival, 50% of the deposit will be charged. Cancellation less than 15 days before arrival or No-Shows, 100% of the deposit will be charged.
Our 38 bungalows and apartments are spread throughout the
92-hectares farm, in harmony with the surrounding coconut trees.
They may be located just a few steps from the sand or at the top of hills, with the most stunning ocean views.
All accommodations have: Split air conditioning, LCD TV, king-size bed, wireless internet connection, directdial telephone, hair dryer and safety box.
Daily rates at the Txai include breakfast and accommodation for two people.

Our most sophisticated bungalow, with greater privacy, is located in the hill and has a privileged view of the sea and the local forest, as well as a private swimming pool.
