One Devonshire Gardens has been a Glasgow favourite since it opened in 1986, and more than 20 years later, now re-opened as Hotel Du Vin Glasgow, it retains all the charm and character of the original hotel – with an added contemporary twist. The hotel occupies a row of five Victorian townhouses in a tree lined terrace in Glasgow’s stylish west end – it is a short walk to the botanic gardens and Byers road, and 10 minutes from the city centre by taxi.

The decor is contemporary classic, combining period features with a modern twist. The rooms in house 4 including “Hardenberg” and “Schloss Gobelsberg” are highly recommended. Or request a room with a 4 poster bed or skylight for added romance.

Expect: Luxurious textures, Egyptian cotton linen and duvets, Bose CD player, DVD player and DVD libary, Mini bar and the highly addictive golf putter and putt- return.
